James Shawlin and George Dimitrov love the Denver Square they bought two years ago from a fix-n-flipper. The house was once a run-down duplex and is now a shining example of what a little love can accomplish. They have the ‘classic’ design of a Denver Square, with many of the original features of the house, along with a Modern look inside. The entire house was renovated with new hardwood floors, lights, a marvelous ‘open concept’ kitchen, exposed brick walls, a new add-on laundry room and new windows. The house was once a rental and from time to time they get colorful characters that sometimes knock on the door or peer through the windows to see all the changes! They love the diversity of the neighborhood along with the easy access to all the fun on SoBo. Their future plans are to make room for off-street parking along the east side of their house and to add an office or extra space for James’ tieBora pet collar business in the attic. tieBora makes pet collars from used men’s ties and they are sold at Quality Paws…their home’s sponsor on the Tour!
